Weekend Plans

Weekend, here comes another one,

Lovely time to plan & do lots of stuff.

Plenty of items on the list to be done,

Plan for things that look seemingly tough…

I like the verse Thank god it’s Friday,

Highly popular, as they say them all,

Friday night… Time to party & enjoy,

Plan for movies & shopping in the mall…

Friday is gone & then comes Saturday with high hopes,

Things to be done & places to be gone out..

Alas, it passes off without much of a notice,

And then one wonders what was today all about…

When Saturday is gone, there is this beautiful Sunday,

To cover up for all the unfinished tasks…

Sunday too, just comes and goes like that,

God, What I did this whole day, one simply asks.

This happens every weekend as it comes & goes,

With realization that nothing much has been done.

But on Monday when folks ask you how was your weekend,

Without hesitation we say, boy, it was good fun…
